December 2007 - Moving and Xmas

We are back in Belgium after two years of Australia. It has been two good years with the biggest event being Silje. She was born in Wahroonga, Sydney - but is no Australian !
We left Australia 14 December and arrived, with some trouble on the way - in Sandnessjøen 17 Dec, one day delayed. We missed the plane in Oslo, but luckily we could stay with Jan Arne and Cathrine in their new house in Gjerdrum. Finally home on Tormodsvoll we took a week to get out of the jetlag. Silje kept waking up at 3 in the night, and we had to wake up with her. Luckily Torstein arrived at 8 to feed the sheep and set eggs, so we had something to look forward to. Silje enjoyed the company of Torstein and his sheep a lot.
Xmas on Tormodsvoll is a tough exercise with so much good food to eat. Mor Anna always have some cake or confect that has to be eaten, and the dinners are excuisit every time. There is a lot to get rid of now after it all.
It was good to see Mum, and the rest of the family after such a long time, and truly fun to see Silje thrive in the company of fellow Norwegians. This time I also had the chance to meet Odd-Magne a lot more than usual, and I really enjoyed that. He still loves me after all these years !
7 January we arrived in Belgium - this time three days delayed - some heavy winds in Sandnessjøen. While waiting for our furniture we sit in an appartment hotel in Antwerp. It was a pleasure to see our family and friends in Belgium again, and now we are really sure why we came back :-)
